VPA Annual General Meeting

Venue: Thomas Field Hall next to Little Gaddesden Church

Please put the date in your diary so it does not slip your mind. We are delighted to welcome Kate Stuart-Smith to our AGM this year, to give us a talk about the lovely garden at Serge Hill, Bedmond, Hertfordshire and the work of the National Garden Scheme (NGS).

Some of our members will be familiar with the garden being so close to us at Bedmond. Kate is always busy in the garden or in helping to arrange open gardens under the National Gardens Scheme, as she is a joint County Organiser. The AGM will be at the Thomas Field Hall next to Little Gaddesden Church. Doors open at 6.30pm and wine and cheese will be served, we plan a fairly short section on VPA matters and will then move on to Kate’s presentation, c. 30 mins and time for questions, after which tea and coffee will be available. We look forward to seeing you. If you would like to find more information on Kate please click on the link below. Autumn Bubbles and Bulbs Event

Join us at our annual Autumn Bubbles and Bulbs Event at the VPA Store in September/October. Flowering bulbs, planted in autumn, will flower in spring and early summer. Our collection of bulbs are top quality and provide excellent value.

Scroll up to Next Events for the date and details of the next Bubbles and Bulbs Event, if scheduled. The date of this event is always subject to the arrival of the bulbs. (This can be a bit unpredictable!)  It’s a well attended event. We hope to see lots of our members popping along to the store for this year’s Bubbles and Bulbs when the date has been advised.

We order a fairly standard range of daffodils and tulips along with crocus and various other small bulbs.  If you would like any advice on choosing bulbs, planting and caring for your bulbs, why not pop along to the shop on a Sunday morning? We will be happy to help.  We might even find you a cup of tea or coffee! Do you have a favourite bulb you would like to see on sale? Or is there something special, either variety or colour, that we could order for you?  If there is something you would like, please contact Alison Townsend on 01442 842421 or by email at alison@lgvpa.org.
