What a bonus this week, we have all been able to ‘visit’ the virtual Chelsea Flower Show. Go to https://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events/virtual-chelsea to catch up and see the daily events; on until 23 May.  Then …….

This Sunday, 24 May, (10.00 to 12noon) the socially distanced Plant Sale will be at the Village Hall car park, Church Road.  Please come along and see what bargains you can pick up.  Any plant donations can be collected from you in advance or can be delivered at 9.00am on 24 May. Full details at https://lgvpa.org/2020/05/11/vpa-plant-sale/   We look forward to seeing you.

and the launch of the VPA Young Gardeners area https://lgvpa.org/2020/04/17/new-vpa-young-gardeners-page-launched/  Projects are being released each week

The VPA is striving for all households in Little Gaddesden and surrounding areas to become members of the VPA; £5 membership is payable annually each April  https://lgvpa.org/about/#membership  https://lgvpa.org/2020/04/02/membership-renewal-reminder/   If you are not up-to-date with paying your membership this can also be done on Sunday at the Plant Sale.

As part of the Greener Gaddesden initiative the VPA had started to contribute; for details visit  https://lgvpa.org/2020/03/03/new-greener-gaddesden-page-on-website/

Any support or help you can give towards keeping the VPA alive and kicking, we would be pleased to hear from you.  Since the “lockdown” we have been very busy fulfilling orders to our members from our Garden Store and we hope this activity is ongoing notwithstanding garden centres have now reopened. We have a good range of products, many sold loose, at competitive prices providing real value and are keen to increase the breadth of products purchased.    Orders can be placed at store@lgvpa.org

Hope to see you on Sunday,

Your VPA Committee
